The Brodick Improvement Association will be holding their annual fundraising beach barbecue tomorrow afternoon (Sunday) from 2pm.

It follows the postponment of the event last weekend due to the heavy downpours throughout the day and it is hoped the weather will be kinder this time around.

All the tried and tested events – beach volleyball, sandcastle competition, putting competition, children’s races – will all take place on the green behind Brodick beach. The raffle is always a popular finale to the day.

Anyone wishing to donate prizes can either bring them down on the day, or drop them off at Ormidale Hotel. It is thirsty work, a beach barbecue, but the fully licensed bar should keep participants and spectators adequately refreshed and help wash down the burgers.
