Saturday July 8, Club Championship quarter finals. The players that went through to the semi finals were: Dougie MacFarlane, Neil Stewart, Todd Jameson and Iain Murchie. The two semi final games on Sunday July 9 were very close. Neil beat Dougie after 19 holes. Todd beat Iain 4+3.

Wednesday July 5, Summer Trophy rnd 11, 22 played. CSS stayed at 63 and Stuart McGregor continued his winning habit for 2017 by romping home with a fine nett 60 to win by two from club champion Danny Head. 1 Stuart McGregor 18, 60, 2 Danny Head 5, 62, 3 Nicol Auld 4, 63, ACB and lowest gross. 4 David Brookens 11, 63. Magic twos Steven Baillie and Owen Quigley both @17th.
Sunday July 9, The Whiting Bay Improvements Trophy. Despite a pessimistic forecast, the Sunday morning weather was teasingly dry early enough to tempt nine brave souls on to the golf course. A cruel trick. The heavens opened mid morning to make conditions decidedly unpleasant. Five players managed to return cards and Douglas Auld came in with a very creditable nett 64 to win by two shots. Unsurprisingly CSS went out to 65 and there were no magic twos. 1 Douglas Auld 22, 64, 2 Graeme Mack 6, 66 ACB and lowest gross, 3 Markus Kroner 7, 66.
