Southend currently trail Brodick by three points on 18 with a goal difference of +39, while the leaders sit on 21 points with seven wins out of seven and a goal difference of +35.

Brodick’s Archie McNicol is on a goal-fest himself, having netted 10 times in the last two matches with four goals against Shiskine and six against Lamlash.

Last week Southend thrashed Northend by 15 goals to nil with four goals each for Ryan Armstrong and Nicky Emsley, while Shiskine picked up their first points of the season in a 4-3 victory over Bay FC and Brodick beat Lamlash 8-4.

On Monday night Brodick rattled up eight goals against Shiskine at Sandbraes without reply.
