02_b21kat01jewelleryTalented jeweller Katie Lees of Corrie has been invited to take part in a special jewellery exhibition for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in the prestigious Electrum Gallery in Mayfair, London.

Katie told the Banner: ‘I’m very excited. The exhibition is called ‘Diamonds and Crowns’. This is a gallery that I have always aspired to.

‘Apparently they saw my work in an exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery (in Chelsea) last year. It will be great for my CV.’

For over 40 years Electrum has shown the best in contemporary jewellery and is one of the most sought-after jewellery boutiques in London.

She has sent 22 items of jewellery down to Mayfair. Katie explained that she had made them specially and tried to emulate the theme of the Crown Jewels.
