The famous red and white strips worn by Britain’s worst football team are up for sale.
Northend Thistle – the media darlings of Arran football – are auctioning their strips in order to raise funds for some much needed winter training.
Three years ago the team from Lochranza were dubbed ‘the worst football team in Britain’ by the national newspapers after failing to win a single match in more than 18 years.
Chris Traill, the club’s spokesman, said: ‘The strips are now available to buy from an online auction site.
‘Grab a piece of history. The Goalie shirt as worn by the now departed Norman Bond (not dead, only in New Zealand) is also available as a marquee to hire for any outside functions.’
