Spotted on the Banner’s Twenty Years Ago page this week was a 16-year-old David Tennant who has discovered mega stardom playing Doctor Who in the BBC’s sci-fi programme.
On February 3 and 4, 1988, David and two other young actors were being filmed just south of Whiting Bay by STV.
The production was a short play for children called The Secret of Croftmore by James Graham for STV’s Dramarama series.
All the interior shots had already been taken in the studio and the exteriors were all shot on the Wednesday and Thursday on Arran.
David has always said he decided to become an actor after watching Doctor Who as a child.
