Team Goil of Whiting Bay, formerly the Cameronia, celebrated after defeating the PHT by eight games to four to lift the Lamlash Garage shield last Sunday evening.
The results of the Arran Pool League for Thursday 28 January were as follows: PHT 7 Mac’s Bar 5, Drift 6 Catacol 6, PT1934 7 teamGoil 5, Bar Eden 7 Kildonan 5.
This Thursday (February 11) the Drift Inn are playing Mac’s Bar, PT1934 are up against Catacol, Bar Eden are at home against fellow Whiting Bay residents teamGoil and PHT are playing Kildonan.
The draw for the next round of the doubles competition has now been completed. These games should be played on or by Sunday 28 February.
The draw is as follows: B Lewis/D Bell (Catacol) v I MacDonald/J White (Drift) at Mac’s, L Girbow/D Goodchild (Drift) v A Cook and C McBain (PHT) at Mac’s, A Jeffrey/C Traill (Catacol) v M Picken/N McMaster (PT1934) at Mac’s, G Lowe/P Stewart (PHT) v E Ingram/J McPherson (Eden) or D Smith/E Picken (PT1934) at Kildonan.
