Julie Graham of Lochranza is a very lucky person.
She has recently received two offers of huge sums of money just by replying to a couple of emails. Unfortunately the emails and the offers are bogus, and Julie wonders just why she is being targeted. The first scam came on June 19 from a ‘banker’ in Burkino Faso in West Africa. The second one came four days later, from a ‘director of finance’, also in Burkino Faso.
Both promised wonderful riches just by sending her bank details. One even said: ‘We expect you to handle this transaction with utmost maturity by keeping everything secret.’
‘They must think I’m barmy,’ said Julie. ‘I took them straight to the police.’
