Three teams of junior footballers from Arran travelled to Tarbert last Sunday to play a number of games against the Kintyre team.
Team one consisted of Scott MacKay, Harry Anderson, Peter Gillson, Alistair Innes, Alistair MacMillan, Jamie McLaren and Adam McNicol,.
The second team was Lyle Bunyan, Iain Logan, Ben Innes, Alan Soutar, Matthew MacDonald, Ben Leslie and Isla Hill and a girls team of Isla Sillars, Sarah MacNeil, Erin Boal, Isla Hill and Ailsa MacMillan was also organised for the day.
Each team played four tightly contested 10-minute games on the new Tarbert Astroturf. Coach Ian Mclaren said: ‘These games were the first ever competitive matches for some of these players and it was a steep learning curve.
‘All the Arran players played well and we hope to welcome the Tarbert players back to Arran after the Summer Holidays.’
