Google’s camera car was spotted in Brodick on Monday afternoon – meaning the internet giant is well on its way to immortalising the Isle of Arran on its Street View website.
The Arran Banner spotted the car parked on Brodick seafront and a number of eagle eyed readers saw it at different locations around the island.
It has also visited the island once before.
This means that Google has started taking photographs of Arran from its specially modified Vauxhall.
The black car is hard to miss as it has a four-foot tripod attached to the roof with a 360-degree camera mounted onto it.
It means a photo of your front door, or maybe even of yourself walking down the street, could be posted on the internet as the firm looks to profile the whole of Britain in cyberspace.
A woman from Shiskine saw the car driving towards Brodick over the String Road on Monday.
‘I spotted the Google car when I was driving to Brodick,’ she said. ‘It was behind me so I pressed my brakes a few times just to see if I might spot myself on the internet when the pictures are eventually uploaded.’
