A 13-week-old blind Schnauzer puppy is spending his first summer holiday on Arran.
The puppy belongs to Daisy and Jonathan who are staying with their grandmother Anne Hodge in Whiting Bay during the summer holidays.
Anne said: ‘Bobby is my Schnauzer’s brother as they both have the same parents. My Beano is a little bit older than him but they seem to be getting on very well. When you watch them in the garden it looks as though she is showing him where to go.’
At first glance it is difficult to tell that Bobby is blind as he runs about in the garden but suddenly he will bump into something that he cannot see.
Thirteen-year-old Daisy said: ‘He is just like an ordinary puppy but we have to watch he doesn’t stray onto the road, as he would not be able to see a car coming the other way. Bobby is really fun to play with.’
