The 22nd annual Kildonan Fun Week came to an end last Saturday.
There really was something for everyone at the Southend with a wide range of activities throughout the week.
The new stars of the show on Monday and Friday were Sarah Cowan and her dancing dogs Ruby, Dazzle and Corrie. The three beautiful retrievers and their mistress captivated audiences with dog tricks to music on the beach and K9s and kids fun in the field.
Pirate Jack had the children searching hard for their treasure again at the Junior Beach Treasure Hunt on Monday afternoon but luckily no spades or adults were required this year to pull the treasure from the sand.
The cake and coffee morning was probably the most successful to date in terms of the number of people attending and the amount of tray bakes consumed. The ladies of the Kildonan SWRI are very kindly donating the takings this year to the village hall because money is still desperately needed for the completion of the works to the roof and for the ongoing running costs.
It was standing room only in the hall as the Japanese drummers of Lamlash and Kildonan made their debut performance on the Wednesday evening.
Their mesmeric drumbeat and tunes had the audience transfixed and tapping to the beat. If you missed them then watch out for their concert later this year.
