Arran Riding for the Disabled received a welcome boost to funds on Saturday at the end of a sad week for the group.
Earlier in the week, long serving pony Fever died aged between 30 and 35.
However, on Saturday ponies Dylan and Charlie turned out for a special cheque presentation by Fiona McGovern of Lamlash who recently gave a talk on how to be your own healer in Arran High School lecture theatre to tell islanders of her fight against breast cancer through natural methods.
Also at the event was York-based Atul Shah who spoke about Nature Cure and its philosophy.
Fiona handed a cheque for £644 to Barbara Tinto of Arran Riding for the Disabled on Saturday which will pay for a special saddle to be used particularly for children with Down’s syndrome or youngsters with cerebral palsy and for one year’s grazing.
