Arran’s Christopher Jenks, who took part in the Scottish Power National Cross Country Championships at Falkirk recently.

He entered the boys’ under 13s race as a member of Arran Runners and came a respectable 48th out of 139 behind winner Finlay Rae of Ayr Seaforth. He raced against competitors from all over Scotland. The championships attracted more than 3,000 runners in competitions for juniors and seniors.
