Blackwaterfoot Lodge will be open for business again this year. That was the message from owner Ann Relf on Tuesday.
The hotel was reported in last week’s Banner as being up for sale but Ann was keen to point out that it is still a going concern.
She said: ‘Blackwaterfoot Lodge was listed for sale in 2007. As the business did not sell over the winter, the usual upgrading and renovations continued and a spanking new commercial kitchen was installed.
Room bookings over the winter are up on last year as usual.’
Owners Ian and Ann Relf decided to put the hotel on the market because of Ian’s work as a geophysicist which takes him abroad for several months of the year. Ann explained that their son David is joining the business and that Ian helps out when he is at home.
