A collection on board CalMac ferry MV Caledonian Isles has furthered one Arran woman’s plan to jump out of an airplane.
Louise Brown needs to raise £500 to take part in a charity parachute jump.
Arran Brass collect money on the ferry annually at Christmas time and this year the £264 raised was given to Louise who is planning her jump in February.
Louise said: ‘I will be doing the parachute jump sometime in February and all the money raised will go towards Meningitis Research UK because it is such a worthy cause.’
Arran Brass chairwoman Cath Keeney works alongside Louise in James’ chocolate shop in Brodick.
Cath explained: ‘We always like to support worthwhile charities and thanks to the tremendous generosity of ferry staff and passengers we can hand this cheque over to Louise.’
