Bowled over on Lamlash award night

Lamlash Bowling Club held its annual prize giving dinner last Saturday night.
Despite a rather wet and miserable summer the bowlers were still out in force and many of them picked up a number of prizes.
Marion Spence was delighted to be named the 2007 ladies champion and Jim Sloss was named the gents champion of the season. Jill Butcher was awarded the cup for the ladies pairs competition and Charlie Weir was crowned open singles champion.
Secretary of the club Margaret Murchie said: ‘It was a really enjoyable evening. It was a lovely way to end the season.’
