The island of Arran will find itself under nationwide scrutiny today (Friday) week when it is due to feature in a popular ideal home television programme.

Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun: Home or Away is on at 8pm and although it is not known which of the houses filmed will feature, the production team included a renovated cottage at Torbeg, a house at Ashdale Way, Whiting Bay, and another at Kinneil Park, Lamlash, among others.

Filming took place last summer.
