A packed congregation at Lamlash Church listened spellbound to some excellent singing at the annual Arran carol service on Monday.
Taking part were Brodick Primary School Choir, Arran High School Choir and The Rowan Singers, with their performances interspersed with readings by Vivienne Haigh, Helen Knight, Heather Johnston, Mary Wilkinson and Reverend Jack Paterson.
Alan Saunderson welcomed the congregation and led prayers. David Oakes gave a vote of thanks.
The congregation sang many familiar and much loved carols including Oh Come, Oh Come, Emmanuel, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks by Night, Hark, The Herald Angels Sing and O Come All Ye Faithful.
There were also more modern Christmas songs from the children and money from a collection will go towards Sir Malcolm Sargent Cancer Fund for Children.
