Matthew continues family tradition

Matthew Evans from Lamlash has followed in the footsteps of his older brother when he won this year’s golf Summer Cup.
Matthew (13) is a member of Lamlash Golf Club and is the youngest player ever to win the cup, which is played during the summer months.
The player with the best four net scores over the period from May to September wins the competition.
An excellent score of 235 saw Matthew triumph over a large number of other players.
Matthew has followed in the footsteps of his older brother Euan (17) who won the cup two years ago. Both are keen golfers and have been playing since a very early age.
