Support flooding in for Christmas lights appeal

The Brodick improvements committee has been heartened by the generous response from many businesses and individuals in Brodick to the appeal for £5,000 to renew and repair the Christmas lights.

Chairman Harry Davidson said: ‘Nearly £3,000 has come flooding in so far and we are fully confident we will reach our target in time for the switch on of the lights this Christmas.’

Residents of Brodick, Strathwhillan and Corriegills are reminded of the AGM of Brodick Improvements Committee and are urged to attend.The meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 16, in Brodick Village Hall starting at 7.30pm. The new constitution will be put to the meeting.

Refreshments will be served after the meeting and residents of the village can air their views and chat to the members of the committee and Councillor Margie Currie who will be giving her report.
