In 2003 the then Folk Festival committee decided to take a break after running an annual Folk Festival each year from 1989.

The Folk Club was born with the aim of keeping things ‘ticking over’ and since then it has successfully promoted acoustic sessions throughout the year.

At a folk club meeting in January this year, it was officially agreed to wind up the folk club and pass the remaining funds to Arran Events CIC.
