A master thatcher from Castle Douglas is currently working on two projects at Brodick Castle.
Jem Cox has had 34 years experience of thatching roofs and has been commissioned by the National Trust for Scotland (NTS) to replace the thatch on the Heather House above the Walled Garden and to do the thatching work on the Bronze Age roundhouse taking shape in the country park.
