Last Friday night,August 24 2012,two of Arran’s top golfers battled out a top quality Champion of Champions final at Corrie Golf Club.
Dougie Macfarlane of Lamlash won a dramatically close encounter with David Tod of Shiskine to lift the trophy for the tenth time.
Dougie was playing his 16th final and David his first,but the match was one of the closest anyone could remember.
On the night Dougie and David were round in par,and over the three matches Dougie was seven under par.
