Extreme easterly sea conditions are being blamed for the sinking of the Sallyforth – one of the Holy Isle ferries – in Lamlash Bay on Saturday.
According to owner Tom Sheldon the front wheelhouse windows were ‘stoved in by the water and it quickly started to fill up’.
