Arran’s fish farmers have found themselves making a delivery with a difference with fortnightly boat rides over to the Holy Isle.
The Scottish Salmon Company operates in Lamlash Bay across from the spiritual island and delivers food and supplies to those living there.
Peter Sloan, who is a senior marine operative at the fish farm, was asked eight years ago if he could make the deliveries.
‘We can see the Holy Isle from our farm site and it is a fascinating place,’ said Peter.
‘When I was asked through my work with the lighthouse if I could deliver food there I was more than happy to oblige and the company was happy for me to use its boat to get over there.’
