The MV Caledonian Isles ferry has returned to the Arran service.
Cruelly dubbed the ‘Calamity Isles’by locals, she was taken out of service while repairs were carried out to damage sustained when she was blown by severe winds into the pier at Ardrossan on February 14 2012.
A CalMac spokesman said:‘We are grateful for the patience and understanding of all our customers while we worked round the temporary loss of an important vessel from our fleet.
‘The circumstances in which we had to deploy a vessel from another route as well as the designated spare, were exceptional and provided a number of challenges to be over overcome.’
