A village pantomime performed by a superb cast of local residents has received rave reviews from audience members.
Lochranza Village Hall was packed out on January 14 2012 for ‘Waking the Warrior’,a Christmas pantomime.
Written by Isla Blair and Charlie MacFarlane with additional material by Juggins and Muggins a.k.a Eric Dunn and Tom Buchan, the story centred around the efforts of the evil witch ‘Morag the Torag’ to cancel Christmas.
However, two determined Lochranza weans,Shona and Elly, were not going to let that happen.
They enlisted the help of various Lochranza inhabitants – animal and human – to successfully thwart Morag’s intentions.
The leading players were well supported by an enthusiastic cast who all entered into the spirit of the performance and provided a memorable night.
